Nimble Opens UK Office, Appoints Director of EMEA to Support Growing Customer Base

Nimble (News - Alert), a US-based provider of high-end, SaaS-based CRM systems, has announced the opening of an office in the UK and the hiring of CRM and BPM specialist, Richard Young as the director of the company’s EMEA operations. The move is expected to support the company’s growth strategy in the EMEA region.

The new EMEA office, located at Middlessex, UK, will be the central location for activities covering Europe, Nimble said in a press release.

According to the Nimble website, its CRM system has been designed to help small companies easily manage their contacts, calendars, communications, and social conversations. Since its launch last year, the Nimble platform reportedly gained over 30,000 registered users and 250 partners and with the establishment of the new UK office, the company hopes to continue with its growth momentum.

With 9,000 users and over 50 channel partners, Nimble already has a pretty large customer base across Europe. Its channel partners in the EMEA region include such companies as Social Platform, Wizard Systems, SocialCRM, Impulsa2 Consultoria, NetSkyf and Monrea.  Through the enhanced presence, the company plans to maximize the opportunities in this fast growing market.

Also, the opening of an office in London and the appointment of a new director to take charge of EMEA operations reflect the company’s commitments to its growing customer base in the region.

Young, a CRM veteran with over 16 years of experience is expected to play a critical role in the company’s expansion in the region. His experience is also expected to help build up a strong partner network in the region.

Earlier Nimble announced that Jason McDowall, a recognized expert in mobile software development, has joined the Nimble team as Director of Product. Formerly Director of Product Management, Mobile for Salesforce.com (News - Alert), McDowall will lead the expansion of the Nimble platform and its mobile strategy.
